Kapa Workshops are now available!
Learn how to create beautiful, unique pieces of Hawaiʻis traditional fabric from the bark of the Wauke tree. Connect to the earth and our culture with the help of our owner and artist, Kumu Page "Pūko‘a" Chang. Harvest and process plants grown by Pūkoʻa and pound Kapa in her Waimānalo garden surrounded by Wauke and Kukui trees. You can book this experience multiple times and expect different activities based on skill and experience. Kapa making comes first, but we also offer tool making and dye making. Just contact us and we can schedule a customized session for you and your group. Have more than 4 people, or need to schedule a different day? Just let us know and weʻll do our best to accommodate you!
3 Hour Session/Booking
Class size: 2-4 participants
Each guest leaves with a handmade piece of Kapa (or an individual tool or set of dyes)
**Lessons for individuals may be booked, but we will continue to book another individual/group booking bringing the total to 4 students when possible. Contact us with any questions!
